Hometown: Los Angeles, CA

Linda Taylor (aka LT) was born and raised in Southern California. She started playing the guitar at age four and, though she had several teachers early on and participated in the typical school programs, she is primarily self-taught. After years of performing locally, mostly on the R&B circuit, LT began touring heavily with jazz saxophonist Kirk Whalum. Highlights include a performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival with special guests Monty Alexander and Wallace Roney. World tour credits include Tracy Chapman's "Smoke and Ashes" tour which spanned several years in the mid ‘90s. LT has also toured with a variety of R&B singers, including Thelma Houston, Vesta Williams, Chante Moore and Jesse Powell, performing with Jesse and Chante at the Image Awards in 1999. In 1997 and 1999 LT also toured with Japanese superstar Namie Amuro, in a band that included Carlos Rios and Sheila E.

As a sideman, LT's guitar work can be heard on releases from Kiki Ebsen, Kevyn Lettau, Glenys Rogers, jazz keyboardist Al Daniels, Chante Moore, Maia Sharp, and on theme music from "The Roseanne Show." Her work with artists Chante Moore, Tracy Chapman and Namie Amuro includes several live and recorded videos. LT is also a veteran of the talk-show circuit, having appeared on Letterman, Leno, Rosie O'Donnell, Conan O'Brian and "The Roseanne Show," as well as VH1's "Crossroads." She recently released her debut CD, "Pulse," on her own Rubicon Music label.
