Considered "..one of the two or three most exciting, scary-good vocalists in rock today." (KUT/NPR), Nina began her musical career at the age of 13 when she co-founded the all female chicana rock group "Girl in a Coma". Three years later Girl in a Coma was signed to Joan Jett's Blackheart Records, thus beginning many years of extensive touring, writing and performing for audiences around the world. In 2014, Nina began her journey as a solo artist and soon released her debut album "The Beat is Dead" on Cosmica Records (2016).

Since officially ending "Girl in a Coma" in 2018, Nina has been steadily performing and writing new material, was featured in Elvis Costello's "Spanish Model" (2021), and is currently composing music for the East Los Angeles play Adobe Punk...all the while building her own production company "BeatGirl Productions" in which she serves as owner/producer/engineer. Nina's newest album, "I Could Be You, You Could Be Me" released August 18th 2022.
