Prophet

Genre: Rap/Hip-Hop
Hometown: Merrillville, IN

Hailing from Merrillville, Indiana, Prophet creates his music from a deep inner belief system of respect, honor, and loyalty. Prophet's earliest influences include Michael Jackson, Dr. Dre, Pink Floyd, Jay Z, 2pac, and Notorious B.I.G., and from that cross-genre assortment of inspiration, he creates a wide range of sounds—from the straight-up Hip-Hop of the Midwest Hustle EP to the R&B groove of "Party Next Door (Persian Rugs)" and songs like "Take#off," which reaches closer to Tribal House. Privilege Muzic signed Prophet in 2012, and he began a mentorship of sorts under legendary Indiana artist/producer Big Cheef. Prophet is also known as Don Teflon (he doesn't just stick with one genre) in The Family, a multi-talented, diverse collective of friends and artists.
