Sound of A.M. is an acoustic duo. Their song list consist of songs you'll know, love, and want to sing along with and also songs written by the two members. The long time Austin talents are Mike Ingalls, on guitar and vocals, and Andrea, on vocals.
Mike, also known as Mingalls, toured as lead guitarist for Double Trouble (Been a Long Time tour). He was also a guitarist for Lisa Tingle, and currently is the lead singer and guitarist for Gene Machine.
Andrea has sung with Cameron Road, Third Language, Rotel and The Hot Tomatoes, The Pictures, The Grooves, Hot Cakes, Three Penny Opera, and This Side Down.
How They Met: Sound of A.M. was not even a twinkle in their minds when Andrea & Michael met. Thanks to a drunk man in a small bar in Round Rock, TX, their paths crossed. Michael was playing with his band while Andrea was sitting at the bar enjoying a beer with a friend. When the drunk man, whom we'll call Bob, found out that Andrea was a singer he took it upon himself to tell Michael that Andrea needed to sing a song with his band that night! Being the nice guy Michael is, he went over to Andrea to confirm what Bob said and asked her if she wanted to sing. Andrea declined. Mike bought her a Patron shot and they've been friends ever since!
