7:00PM - 2:00AM

Join us as Chris “Crazy Legs” Fonseca, Eric Lokke, and Kevin Nicks take the stage at Rubio’s Event Center (Riverside) May 30th 2009. Watch as this group of talented comedians teams up with guest musical acts Scorpio Rising and The Platforms for a night of laughs, fun, and just good ol’ entertainment.

Eric Lokke

Eric Lokke has been making the rounds at comedy clubs and rooms across the country over the last 4 years building his audience in every comedy venue willing to give him 40 minutes and a paycheck. He can hold any comedy audience in any venue. Everyone understands this "take no prisoners" comedy style. Eric's comedy is the edge, guaranteed to make your mother blush while she's laughing. If you like to laugh hard... listen to one of his clips... find out why Eric's earning his spot every night.

Chris “Crazy Legs” Fonseca

For over a decade, Chris has become a veteran performer turning his physical disability into a positive visual image. He has won the praise of Presidents Clinton and Carter and was invited to entertain on the ABC Special, An Evening of Hope-Christopher Reeve. Chris’ career has been highlighted by many appearances on Evening at the Improv, Comedy on the Road, Entertainment Tonight and has been featured in USA Today, The Los Angeles Times, and Daily Variety. He also had a co-starring guest role on a Media Access Award winning episode of Baywatch. Although touring over 200 nights a year, he still finds time to share with his two beautiful daughters.

Kevin Nicks

Kevin Nicks has been a comedian for over 18 years. Kevin has worked in comedy clubs all across America and hundreds of private shows including many morning and evening radio shows over the years. Kevin has also had experience in short film work and pilots for local television projects. While Kevin isn’t typically an actor, he has found his spot among the top of the ranks as the ‘Wild Child’ of comedy. Since his debut 18 years ago, Kevin has become a favorite in Clubs and College campuses across the U.S. Keep an eye out for this unique flavor of talent as Kevin continues to make his mark in the world of comedy.

Scorpio Rising

Hailed as one of Austin’s best Goth/Industrial bands and DJ bands by the Austin Chronicle Music Poll, Scorpio Rising’s fans have likened their sound to The Rolling Stones meet Scissor Sisters, with vocals reminiscent of Cyndi Lauper, Shirley Manson, and Madonna, polished with a touch of Motown. Scorpio Rising started in the mid 1990’s as a side project of Austin Funk outfit Retarted Elf’s vocalist/dancer Madame Scorpio and guitarist Wonderbred. The two had compiled a huge catalogue of new material and wanted to take it to the stage. Scorpio Rising has built a diverse and loyal fan base throughout Texas, playing consistently in Austin, San Antonio, Houston, Belton, Dallas, Bryan/College Station and Corpus Christi. Festival appearances include the Central Texas State Fair, SXSW showcase and Eeyores birthday party.

The Platforms

They may look like good girls, but the music says, "I wanna be bad!!!" Once playfully described as Josie and the Pussycats meet Kiss, The Platforms mix noisy but melodic rock with a flair for 60's and 70's inspired fashion. Though the Platforms love playing dress-up onstage, the bands costumes and visual antics are certainly not the first priority. From the beginning skeletal chord progressions and lyrics the girls scratched out on pink Hello Kitty notebook paper, the singular goal was to develop melodic songs that rock and reflect a fun, carefree spirit. Inspired by everything from The Kinks and Stooges to the misogynistic songs of 80s hair bands, The Platforms turn the tables and issue the orders.
