Makana Performs ‘Occupy with Aloha’ Anthem “We Are The Many” Before Barack Obama
In late 2011, Makana, a popular Hawaiian performer, was booked to perform at a feast hosted by President Barack Obama. The event was part of an annual summit convened to plan a Pacific free-trade pact. During his performance, Makana opened his jacket and revealed a shirt that read “Occupy with Aloha” and then performed his song, “We Are The Many.”
