Astral Rocks is an international rock project that blends modern rock energy with cinematic textures and seasoned musicianship. Co-fronted by Paulo Ramos and Lisbon-born vocalist Gisela, the band combines Portuguese and Swiss influences to create a dynamic sound that resonates with fans of alternative, indie, and contemporary rock.
The creative vision behind Astral Rocks is led by Milli Schweizer, a British-Swiss songwriter, composer, and author whose music draws from a life shaped by Yorkshire roots, London’s business world, and a creative reinvention in Switzerland. Her songs fuse emotional storytelling with powerful guitar-driven arrangements, exploring themes of resilience, hope, and transformation in tracks such as “In The Dark,” “A Father’s Cry,” “Budapest I’m Finally Home,” and “Why War.”
Astral Rocks’ music is currently receiving airplay on over 170 radio stations worldwide, spanning the U.S., U.K., Europe, Japan, South America, and Africa. Previous singles such as “War (A Father’s Cry)” and “Budapest (I’m Finally Home)” helped build a strong international indie radio following, while the band’s holiday release “Bring Back Hope” continues to chart on European indie stations.
The band’s lineup includes accomplished musicians with decades of international touring and recording experience: guitarist Pedro Joaninho, bassist and producer João Sanguinheira, drummer Virgílio Marujo, and keyboardist Rui Barreto--with backing vocalists Manuela Oliveira & Paula Sofia Cardoso Pires Ramos--whose collective experience brings exceptional depth and power to Astral Rocks’ sound.
