Dank

Genre: Country/Americana, Punk
Hometown: Arlington, TX

And so it was that DANK emerged from a dingy saloon in North Texas to scare the holy hell out of country traditionalists and pop country trend hoppers, alike. DANK fuses a damn catchy blend of country, southern rock, punk and metal into a hearty mix they call “Hardcore Country.” Their lyrics take on the taboo, the tortured, and the totally insane, keying the side of your car cause you won’t let her in the house, kinda crazy.

What can ya say? They have a soft spot for the ladies.

DANK formed in 2009 as an acoustic country duo with Hank Jarvis and Dylan Irby. When Irby left, he allowed Hank to use the DANK name. After several sonic alterations and line-up changes, the band has stayed consistent with Hank at the helm as lead singer/rhythm guitarist, Dave at back up vocals/lead guitarist, Kyle at back up vocals/bass guitar, Kake at banjo and Danny on drums.

After being signed to One String Productions and beginning work on their debut album, DANK made a huge splash in DFW, playing the Deep Ellum Arts Festival, as well as NORML’s 420 Fest and Dallas Marijuana March, appearing in radio segments for Pull Out and Run Radio and Rogue Radio, and jamming with the likes of Scary Cherry & The Bang Bangs, Mandy Lion and Wayne “The Train” Hancock.
