Kenneth Latchison aka Khalid Salaam is an artist, composer, producer, as well as engineer. He’s released projects as part of a collective under the moniker PRODUX called Black Faces, Aim for the Soul, and Uncle Toms in which he produced approximately 90% of those works. As a solo artist he has released the projects, 70s Baby, Fisherman’s Ghost, Barehand Fisherman, and Leonardo DeVirgo, Yaphet Kotto, Sound Sommelier, Bandolier, and Belafonte. Solely as a producer he has produced songs on various projects with artist ONE SON along with an entire project called “BOBBY.” He has also produced full projects with other artist such as Dungeon Family member, Jawz of Life called “Solomon’s Baby” as well as artist Krizi, entitled “Thank you Daddy”, and Stoney Thraxton, entitled “Fisherman’s Apprentice.” All of these were centered around hip hop, but he has also produced for RnB and Alternative artists. Athena Renee who appeared on The Voice has a few offerings from Khalid as he also played guitar in her live band during performances. He has produced more than a handful of songs for singer CoCo Jones, Cressida, Fenner Eaddy all of whom have rich singing voices. Khalid has also been very active in film scoring being the music supervisor on the Lions Gate Film Blackhats directed by LaRon Austin. Also scoring other films by LaRon entitled “Beatmakers” and “Beauty and the Beholder”. Teaming up with ONE SON, he has also had a few placements on television shows such as Mary Mary and Hell on Wheels to name a couple.

Based out of Atlanta’s thriving music scene he has carved out a value niche in the underground music as a standout artist and producer that many are now gravitating to in order to have their sound tailor made.
