Kris was raised on a farm and cattle ranch in the small community of Alpine, Manitoba, Canada. This rural upbringing has attributed to the songwriter's work ethic and has influenced his use of poetry and imagery in his writing.

In early 2023, Kris was signed to the UK based Liberty PR roster, as well as the US based Record Label, Tinderbox Music and has been making waves with his fresh single, "Ever Enough" released on March 10th, 2023.
