Swingin’ Vintage Pop

LUNA & The Gents fuse retro charm with a fresh, modern vibe. The project is the brainchild of songwriter and producer Leendert van Stipriaan aka STIP, who — together with singer Evelyne “LUNA” Péquignot — breathes new life into songs from his earlier repertoire. What once existed as unfinished or unreleased material has now evolved into a vibrant, full-fledged band project that celebrates authenticity, groove, and the timeless spirit of pop.

The result is a distinctive style they call Swingin’ Vintage Pop – a blend of classic songwriting, catchy melodies and organic arrangements, shaped by real instruments and dynamic performances. Each track captures the warmth and spontaneity of live playing: no digital gimmicks, no sample overload, just genuine musicianship and emotional depth.

LUNA, known as the powerful and soulful voice of Little Chevy, brings her unique vocal tone and lyrical sensitivity to the forefront, while STIP serves as the creative engine behind the music — a seasoned songwriter and musical storyteller with deep roots in the pop and rock scene.

The lineup is an outstanding ensemble of musicians:

  • Evelyne Péquignot – lead vocals and lyricist.
  • Matthias van Stipriaan – guitars and musical direction, a graduate of the Musicians
    Institute Los Angeles
and owner of a renowned music school.
  • Yves de Groot – keyboards, also known for his work with Nicole Bernegger (winner
    of The Voice of Switzerland).
  • Rainer Schudel – bass, a long-time player in various Swiss bands, including Little Chevy.
  • Andy Lang – drums, played with the Lazy Poker Blues Band, now part of Little Chevy.

Together, they channel a spirit that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly new – a sound rooted
in the warmth of the past, yet alive with the energy of the present. LUNA & The Gents invite
listeners into a world where groove meets grace, and vintage meets now.
