It doesn't get more real than Nykole Simone--a military veteran who spent years working for the US Postal Service in Detroit. She was first inspired to pursue music after watching Fantasia Barrino win American Idol in 2004. With influences including MC Lyte, Queen Latifah, Left Eye, Da Brat and 2Pac, Nykole Simone has carved out a musical niche all her own.
