Thunderlightning and the Experience is the solo recording project of Isidro Gali, founded in 2025 as the evolution of his earlier project, Retribution+. While Retribution+ explored alternative rock with post-hardcore vocals through releases such as Sunderland and the demo singles Leaf In Motions, Occult Symbols, and Carpe Nocuts, Thunderlightning and the Experience expands that foundation into a broader artistic vision.
Guided by an artistic view on creative freedom, the project approaches post-hardcore as a creative framework rather than a fixed genre. Each song explores a different musical direction—from alternative metal and gothic electronic to alternative pop-punk, emo-pop, and traditional post-hardcore—while remaining unified by expressive vocals and Thunder’s songwriting style. The project also embraces a hybrid recording approach, combining modern digital production with traditional reamping techniques to blend software amp modeling with the character of real amplifiers and speaker cabinets. Rather than following a single stylistic formula, Thunderlightning and the Experience is built on the belief that each song should become the most authentic expression of its own musical identity.
