When Hell Ascends Tonight

Genre: Rock
Hometown: Allentown, PA

Straight from the depths of Hell via Allentown, PA comes the most compelling deathcore-inspired sound since Suicide Silence. When Hell Ascends Tonight has drawn the dark forces from deathcore's American West roots to their homeland deep within the Rust Belt.

The group's first 2022 single "Virtue of Villains" spits the fire of the blackest metal and grindcore, yet brings into it a wealth of the members' influences ranging from emo to alt hip-hop to hardcore. And "Earthbound," released on Black Friday 2022, flexes the band's electronic inspiration which drives the song in an unexpectedly brutal direction.

Vocalist Nick Teschner blends soul-shaking growls with ear piercing shrieks. Guitarists James Ritchie & Mike Sale, bassist Jesse Joseph, and drummer Matt Gercie combine forces with blast beats and half-time dark dirges to create a work of cacophonous beauty. Follow When Hell Ascends Tonight across all major streaming sites as their musical onslaught gains momentum.
