Zac has spent the last two decades as a studio musician, songwriter, performer, and music teacher. Born and raised in the New Hampshire seacoast, he began playing electric bass at the age of eleven. Zac attended Keene State College where he studied upright bass and classical composition. After graduating from KSC, he moved to Austin, Texas in 2014 to further his career as a professional musician. After spending six years recording and touring the country with some of Austin’s finest and most renowned acts, Zac returned to New England in 2020 where he continues to write, perform, record, and produce music both as a solo artist as well as a collaborator with a wide variety of artists.

Zac has worked with Adrian Quesada (Prince, Black Pumas), Ephraim Owens (Tedeschi Trucks Band, Jimmie Vaughan), Bushwick Bill (The Geto Boys), Trevor Nealon (Kid Rock, Band of Heathens), Mason Hankamer (Shinyribs), High Range, Green Heron, Little Wishbone, Ellen Carlson, Todd Hearon, People Like You, Scott Mullett, Mike Kiddoo, Lena Luca, Borscht, David Ross, Sugar Hill Stringband, Kevin Taylor, Bourgeois Mystics, The Fretbenders, The Watters, the Bottom Dollar String Band, The 78 RPMs, Kiddoo & the Dude, Keith Richard Shorey, Saint ThomasX, Cantonese Traffic, Brian Batch,The Stray Horses, Chuck Bucket, Mike Walsh, Jason Traweek, That Captain, The Sticky Notes, Fat Cherry, Mintelligence, Wishy Washy, Maddoc Johnson, Heather Victorino, Northern Roots, Hot Skillet Club, Thom Keith, the San Gabriel Presbyterian Orchestra, the Keene Chamber Orchestra, the Keene Jazz Orchestra, and the Windham Orchestra, among others, and has taught music in New Hampshire, Texas, and Bangalore, India.
