Dr. Aaron Rochlen is a Clinical Professor, Psychologist, and Program Director of the Arts & Humanities Division at the Moritz Center for Societal Impact.

Also known as “Doc Rock,” Dr. Rochlen leads innovative research and programming at the intersection of creativity and mental health. From courses like “Music and Mental Health” to “Movies and Mental Health,” he challenges students to explore how the arts shape emotional wellbeing. He is also the founder of “Under The Rock" @undertherockatx, a live concert series that dives into the psychological power of music.

An award-winning educator and speaker, he’s co-authored over 70 studies focused on fatherhood, gender, and the evolving dynamics of work and family life. He’s also a former president of the Society for the Psychological Study of Men and Masculinities and a Fellow of the APA.

Originally from Michigan, he enjoys sports, music, and adventures with friends and family.
