Coyote Music proudly announces the release of The Lowelies’ tribute EP, Six of Nick’s. Never billed the same way twice, "Austin's [alternately] Only/Best-Dressed/Most-Affordable Nick Lowe Tribute Band" assembled these songs that, according to the band, come from "the Nick Lowe musical universe." Singer/Guitarist Brent Lyles explains, "We don't limit ourselves to just the songs Nick wrote or recorded himself. His career reached beyond that scope, from his producing Elvis Costello to playing bass for John Hiatt. Because of his broad influence in the music world, we feel any song Nick has touched is fair game for our set list." Staying true to form, the band includes "She Don't Love Nobody," a John Hiatt-penned song covered by Nick Lowe & His Cowboy Outfit on Love Gets Strange, a Hiatt tribute album.

The Lowelies formed in a central Austin garage in late 2005 as an informal and private tribute to two of the members' idol. Their premiere performance was a birthday party at the Off-CenterTheater. It was a themed party in which the attendees all participated in a production of the film version of Annie. "I felt it was appropriately bizarre show for us at that time," muses Lowelies drummer Wiley Koepp, "that a Nick Lowe tribute band provided after-party entertainment for a live rendition of a cinematic version of a musical. It made perfect sense to us."

Six of Nick's will be available beginning with The Lowelies' CD Release Party this month:
