Johnny Hi-Fi Signs Deal With Parc Landon And Will Open For Multi-Million-Selling Chang Cheng-Yue!

Within a week of their Coyote Music sponsored showcase, Johnny Hi-Fi has signed a non-exclusive booking and promotion deal with Parc Landon. CEO Anni Lam will oversee the daily aspects of the deal and has already announced the company’s first bookings for the band.

Johnny Hi-Fi will open for Chinese rock star Chang Cheng Yue at Philadelphia’s Trocadero this Friday (October 15, 2004) and on Sunday (October 17, 2004) at B.B. King’s Blues Club in New York City. Chang Cheng-Yue’s latest album, Useless Guy, debuted on the Chinese Music Chart at #3. He has sold over 5 million albums in China and regularly performs to crowds of over 40,000. The Kill Kitty Tour marks Chang Cheng-Yue's first U.S. Tour and the first time for any Chinese Rock artist to tour America.

Born in Taipei, Taiwan, Johnny Hi-Fi moved to America while still in his teens. Based in Houston, Texas and then in Austin, he toured the U.S. over the next several years playing more than 300 shows across the country. He eventually relocated to New York City where he has continued to develop as both a songwriter and performer, independently producing and recording 5 albums. The newest release, Scam Artist, was released in August 2004.
