Emmy-Nominated Cinematographer Troy Paff’s Feature Directorial Debut, Featuring Kiefer Sutherland, Kicks Off Worldwide Digital Rollout
“Texas Music Revolution,” the feature documentary marking Emmy-nominated cinematographer Troy Paff’s (Dirty Jobs, Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern) directorial debut, begins its global streaming rollout today to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the Texas Music Revolution festival in McKinney, Texas. The film is now available for rent and purchase across English-speaking territories worldwide on Apple TV, Amazon, YouTube Movies, Google Play, Vimeo On Demand, and Gathr.
Featuring Kiefer Sutherland and some of the biggest names in Red Dirt, outlaw country, and Americana, this rowdy crowd-pleaser drops viewers into the grit, swagger and soul of one legendary Texas music gathering: Texas Music Revolution. The documentary follows indie radio station KHYI-FM (95.3 The Range) general manager and festival founder Joshua Jones as he endeavors to bring the 25th edition of the festival to fruition amid the post-pandemic return of live music.

Paff, an Emmy-nominated cinematographer known for his work on Dirty Jobs, directed the film from a story he developed with Brandon Faris and Joseph Vele. Paff also produced alongside Jones, with Faris serving as editor.
Long regarded as one of the flagship gatherings for Red Dirt, outlaw country and Americana, Texas Music Revolution has helped spotlight and launch artists including Kacey Musgraves, Turnpike Troubadours, Charley Crockett, Ryan Bingham, Hayes Carll, Pat Green and Whiskey Myers.
