Track listing: Feeling Good
You've got one stop on your travel agenda the next time you pass through Duluth, Minnesota: go see an Indecent Proposal live show. May sound kinky but it's not. Josh, Peter, Slumbucket, and Jevin are putting out the most chill, vibing, good-time blend of cover songs and originals you can find along the shores of the Great Lakes.
Their latest single "Feeling Good" is indicative of the mood the band creates regularly at metro Duluth hot spots like Gopher and The Caddy Shack (two separate venues, not related other than via the plot of the 1980 classic). "Feeling Good" comes at you with a light, airy intro a la Sixpence None The Richer. But when it kicks in you've got a mellow mid-tempo groove and a lyrical delivery more Post Malone or Drake than 90s alt-pop.
The melody is an ear worm. The hook is catchy and motivating enough to be both the big summer jam and find its way into any number of commercials. But at the end of the day "Feeling Good" is as advertised: a feel-good song by a feel-good band.
So as you cross the Wisconsin/Minnesota border along the shores of Lake Superior, you've of course got to take a selfie with the Aerial Lift Bridge. But first check out Indecent Proposal's upcoming shows at indyp218.com, take a load off, and find yourself feeling good.
