Track listing: Fire from the Mouth
I don't mean to make all my reviews of Relentless Pursuit sound the same. But at the risk of doing just that: HOLY FUCKING SHIT! "Fire from the Mouth" is just as heavy, just as evil [sounding], and just as relentless as the rest of their discography.
"Fire from the Mouth" is a collision of Smog's great-grandfather with the entirety of all that encompasses the Wacken Open Air Festival: the bands, the fire, the festival-goers, and even the quaint farming village overrun by the entirety of the chaos.
Yet lyrically, there's something that lends itself to a Christian spirituality, if you want to take that angle. Dead rising to conquer the living. The Utmost High working [miracles]. A righteous hand. Benevolence.
Whether it's God, Jesus, some other religion's heroes, or maybe just a tribute to zombies killing us all, "Fire from the Mouth" executes as flawlessly as it does brutally. From the eerie opening sounds, to immediately transitioning into a blast beat & dueling guitar harmonies, Relentless Pursuit is just that. Their sound follows you, chases you, hunts you down to feel their message.

I have seen the dead rise and conquer the living.
I have seen the Utmost High work wonders on this world of darkness.
To uphold justice and mercy with His righteous hand
is but a testament to His benevolence.
You will never see Him coming.
You will never see Him coming until it’s too late. Until it’s too late.
Fire from the mouth of the mountain.
Fire smolders from the mountain.
