Toms River, New Jersey based DownTown Mystic is dropping Mystic Highway on November 7, 2025. The album's lead single is "Somebody's Always Doin' Something 2 Somebody," a fun groove that channels that oh-so-recognizable classic Asbury Park sound. Maybe it's the Hammond B3. Maybe it's the lyrics reflecting the truisms of everyday life through the verse. But you can close your eyes and find yourself immediately transported to the Stone Pony, wondering if Springsteen or Little Steven might walk through the door and jump onstage with the band.

Most notable about the album is the laundry list of impressive musicians DTM brought in to surround the group's mastermind, Robert Allen. 24-7's press release goes into great detail about this army of top notch artists who fill out the instrumentation. What the recording sessions must have been like! Color me green with envy.

The tune itself is a fun one--a mid-tempo bounce that kicks off with some Moog, B3, and a blistering lead guitar. The rhythm section sits back in the pocket laying down a steady heartbeat that gives the track its life. You've got some background vocal "shoop shoops" that give the song a nice retro sing-a-long element, along with oodles and oodles of guitar soloing.

Released along with the single is an accompanying AI-driven video, laden with gorgeous animation. Impressively, the video has already drawn nearly 150K views after just 1 month!
