The SunThe MoonThe Sky, and her seventh (and latest) album The Stars--an ethereal and universally inspired collection of music by New York based New Age artist Franki Love. Having the mentorship of producer Phil Ramone during her Otias album recording period, Love delved into her emotions surrounding the passing of her mother to express them musically on that album. Her natural talent ability to convey heartfelt sentiment through song was compounded on that record with the producing mastery of David Kershenbaum (Tracy Chapman's Fast Car) on 3 of Otias' tracks.

The Stars features collaboration on two tracks--with Hans Christian on "Piano In The Sky" and Michael Hoppé on "Forevermore"--both gorgeous, plaintive pieces that draw forth humanity through their measured melodies. The remainder of the record is comprised of 8 compositions that are 100% Love. "Infinite Soul" evokes a Radiohead-like mystery and melodic tension. "Awakened Dream" brings forth its remix, pulsing with astral energy through its delicate usage of synth, percussive mystical xylophone-esque melodics, and a touch of tribal/pan flute.

Love's accompanying album art conveys a bioluminescent earth below a star-filled sky. Constellations abound above, depicting the endlessness of the universe...going on..."Forevermore."

Franki is no stranger to the Grammy ballot, having earned a place on it for two albums as well as her video for "Shadow," going all the way back to 2010. The Stars is certainly worthy of another nod from the Recording Academy, as it exhibits Love's progression as a songwriter, performer, and producer.
