An hour east of Santa Fe, New Mexico you'll find the small town of Las Vegas nestled at the foot of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. An unlikely hub for a Hip-Hop infused brand of Electronic music, that's exactly where Daniel Cantrell has built his Unrivaled Music universe--a community of musical artists and producers.

Cantrell's latest effort is Unrivaled Music, Vol. 5, a collection of 14 instrumental chilled bangers. Yeah, they're chilled but they're also tracks that sound good with the volume cranked up all the way. This collection is far from mere backing tracks. Cantrell composes instrumental verses, bridges, choruses, utilizing a wealth of beats, synth tones and vibes.

It's impressive that there's such a worldly sound coming from a small rural town but Cantrell seems tapped into the musical world well beyond the city limits. "Lavish" has an attitude to it that fits clubs--you could hear it at a rave in Prague, backing a new Silk Sonic jam, or seamlessly fitting into the playlist flowing through your favorite record store. It's that universal.
