Ava Valianti's latest single "Wishing Well" is an impressive release for the Massachusetts-based teenage Pop singer-songwriter. "Wishing Well" is the 4th single released since she first appeared on the scene in October 2023. Having previously dropped singles "Bubble Wrap," "Middle Ground," and "January," the response has been impressive! She's earned radio play on dozens of stations across North America and has received nominations for Pop Act of the Year and Rising Stars: Massachusetts in the 2024 New England Music Awards.
Recorded with award-winning producer Chris Plante (CP Pro Audio) and assistant producer Tate Pinyochon, the soundscape is rich and impressive. Moments of solely acoustic guitar and vocal are set against lush orchestral backdrops and booming drums. "Wishing Well" itself is an impressive work, clocking in at nearly 6 minutes. "Wishing Well" is written in a 6/8 swing and begins with a sweet, childish innocence. Lyrically, the visual detail sets the scene: My slide was a beautiful structure of yellow and blue, It stood at an imposing height of about 20,000 ft 2. You immediately see this young child enamored by this swimming pool slide. But as the song progresses, it becomes a deeper metaphor for aging, maturing, love, loss, and nostalgia:

"Nice to meet you" to "Wish you well"
Golden years to ones of hell

Vocally, Valianti's falsetto soars high at times and settles into poignant Tori Amos-esque moments of powerful emotion as the music ebbs and flows.
