In March 2026, months before Nene Royal became an America’s Got Talent sensation, I sat down with OZONE, a young rock band from Phuket, Thailand. I first came across Nene through a video of her playing the “Bohemian Rhapsody” guitar solo at Naka Night Market, then found out that she was part of an incredibly talented young band.
In this episode of In The Chair With..., Nene Royal, Chopper, MK and Boon talk about OZONE, their music, playing together, and life as a young band in Phuket. We also talk about the performance that first caught my attention — the same video that drew comments from Brian May, Dweezil Zappa and Michael Des Barres.

OZONE is a young rock band from Phuket, Thailand featuring Nene Royal (Praew) on lead vocals and guitar, Chopper on bass, MK on keyboard and chorus, and Boon on drums.
The band plays a mix of classic rock, progressive rock, hard rock and other styles, and what first caught my attention was how well these young musicians played together. They weren't just a collection of talented individual players — they sounded like a band.
