When Baltimore-based Prison Wife dropped the lyric video for "Bless Me Father," they wanted to do something different. The band's guitarist Brian Scott created the video taking inspiration from a quote by legendary filmmaker John Waters: "We need to make books cool again. If you go home with someone and they don't have books don't fuck them."

Scott made the video by using book covers that follow the lyrics of the song. "It was a lot fo fun making it, and I think the finished product is something unique."
