Josh Abbott didn’t begin writing songs until around 2004, when he was still in grad school at Texas Tech in Lubbock. A diehard Texas country fan, he’d picked up guitar a few years earlier, mainly to strum along to his favorite Pat Green songs. He vividly recalls the epiphany he had at a concert one night at Lubbock’s Blue Light when the notion of writing and playing his own music — maybe even for a living — first took root. “It happened to be the Randy Rogers Band playing that night, but it could have been Pat or Wade Bowen or Cory Morrow, any of those guys that I saw over the years,” Abbott explains. “I always had this fascination with what they were doing. I’d go to their concerts and there’d be hundreds if not thousands of college kids singing along. That night at the BlueLight, I just remember watching the band and thinking, I want to do this…I think I can do this.”
Born into a world where any dream can be a reality, Absoloot embraces an industry that has made and broke countless individuals before him. Absoloot and As I Am records are creating a movement all on their own. Great music is not created, but birthed through passion and personal experience. Unlike many of his predecessors, Absoloot has the versatility, flexibility, determination and most importantly the talent to not only succeed but dominate a genre that lacks the luster it once had. Absoloot uses intelligent lyrical content and live instruments to attract listeners and offers them a deeper message than the prescribed money and cars routine implemented by many rappers within the hip hop vein. Absoloot’s catalogue gives listeners a refined brand of hip hop that is intelligent and complete with old and new school style. The powerfully relevant and current track “99%” is an emotional outpouring written and conceived by Absoloot in the heart of the Occupy Movement that’s recently taken the United States by storm. Through his lyrics, Absoloot demonstrates his support and shows solidarity for the majority of people not in the 1 percent, who are cornered by lack, corruption and misuse of power by politicians and leaders misrepresenting the people and leaving the remaining 99 percent to struggle. The single features themes about the troubled economy and how the majority of people struggle to survive. Absoloot approaches every track, calm, cool and collected and this has made him a universal force to be reckoned with. His style has no boundaries and crosses all borders and is easily acceptable by any nationality, race, or age. Absoloot is all about change for the better one listener at a time.
Ace J is out of NYC by way of Orlando, Florida, and as his hometowns may imply, his influences lean heavily toward the East Coast. Ace J is currently working on his debut video, dropping later this year. With his heavy hitting lyrical flow and pure East Coast Hip-Hop genes, Ace J will come on strong in 2014.
Jay Boy Adams’ music has always represented a resonant mixture of country, rock and blues, while remaining steeped in tradition. A native of Colorado City, Texas, in the South Plains of West Texas, Adams grew up with the same influences that fueled the music of Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Terry Allen and Butch Hancock, all of whom hailed from nearby Lubbock. Earlier West Texas musical icons much as Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Bob Wills also left their mark.
I've been writing music since I was fifteen years old. It started off as something to do with friends. As we aged my friends moved onto other things leaving me alone with this passion. I'm thankful for that. It pushed me to learn how to record music as well as play a few instruments. For the most part, I've been a solo recording artist. I then ventured into film and merged the two. I also have had an art showing and had a CD featured in a cafe. For the most part film and music takes the lead.

In May of 2010, Carson began playing lead guitar for Country-Rock artist Bleu Edmondson. Bleu's "Finger on the Trigger" topped out at #3 on the CMT charts, and the single remained on the Top 12 charts for 12 weeks. Bleu's newest chart topping singles include "Blood Red Lincoln" and "No Room For Mercy". As a part of Bleu's touring band, Carson got to see the country but was drawn back to developing his own music.

ANAK is a four-man singing group (Anthony, Noah, Andrew, Chris) proudly representing the 707. Fusing their diverse musical backgrounds, they have developed a unique sound that fuses Hip Hop, R&B, Soul and Pop. Known for their meticulous harmonies, hip hop oriented rudiments, original production, and occasionally, their knack for bringing back those “old school jams”, they are quickly making a name for themselves in Northern California and beyond.
Andrea's spent the first part of her career with a touring country band singing lead and backup, but has more recently broken into leading her original rock/pop act. Her stage presence is both powerful and captivating. Along with her all-star instrumentalist line-up, her live performances have impressed all who've attended.
Angel and DeLundon go way back, friends since their days in high school. At that time, at age 16, DELUNDON started his own label and began recording and producing. Atlantic Records recognized his skills and courted him heavily, though a deal never materialized. ANGEL is a classically trained musician whose composition studies led her to producing and recording at her own home studio. She fused her love of Hip-Hop with her composing and began rapping to original beats.
The longtime friends combined their talents in 2012, forming their own label, Angelbeatz/Delu3.0. The label's first release was their own Bakers Street (available on iTunes, Amazon). As a Hip-Hop duo, Angel/DeLundon challenge their listeners. Their dark lyrical themes sometimes step into the perverse and their incorporation of varied time signatures breaks the musical mold of most radio-friendly Hip-Hop artists.
Angel/DeLundon followed up Bakers Street with the release of a video for "Can't Stay Away," produced by up-and-coming Chicago director Alvin Elmore. The video's vivid close-ups and lack of a silly MTV-like plotline puts the focus directly on Angel and DeLundon. As with their music, the video is richly colorful and stark in its honesty.
Evidenced by their music, Angel/DeLundon present themselves as they are. Their artistry doesn't shy away from tabu topics, nor does it pander to what might be more likely to earn a mainstream dollar. Angel/DeLundon write, perform, record, and produce music straight from the soul.
Another De Sade is a four piece alternative band from Austin, Texas. Named after the infamous Marquis De Sade, the band has carved out their own niche of rock and surrealism to create a beautiful, noisy sound scape with a high energy performance and light show. Since the bands formation in 2011, The original drummer and guitarist ran through two other bassists and 2 singers before finding their current line up. Each member brings unique flavor and world experience to the group and as a collective, they wish to convey their message of unity and pursuit of ultimate truth to the masses. The light means nothing without the dark to balance it and part of this message reflects the pain involved with truth. Traversing the path of the tree of life, to the sepher sephiroth.
"April Chase’s introspective indie-rock melodies crescendo into dramatic climaxes. We’re thrilled that this up and coming band is rocking at LCL. If April Chase is an indication of the up and coming sound rising in San Jose, we’re in for headphone-shaking years to come." - Annie Hermes,Left Coast Live

Zee Avi, a 25 year old singer/songwriter from Sarawak, Borneo Island, has enchanted music goers with her witty lyrics and whimsical spirit. Just four years ago, Avi was a former art student in Kuala Lumpur who posted a song on YouTube to catch up with a friend and was quite surprised to find overnight success when thousands of strangers discovered her effortlessly stunning voice.
