The Eric Hisaw Band released the 8 song album Street Lamp in 2018 to enthusiastic critical response including a 4 Star review in the Austin Chronicle. The group has gigged steadily across the state opening shows for luminaries like Billy Joe Shaver and David Allan Coe, backing up roots rock stalwarts like Green On Red frontman Dan Stuart and True Believer Javier Escovedo, while holding down a slew of regular gigs from Ft Worth to San Antone. The latest lineup has former Johnny Law bassist Ron McRae and drummer Shawn Peters (Teen Cool, Alejandro Escovedo) joining Hisaw in a Telecaster driven trio that mixes hard edged Stones inspired rockers, Gulf Coast soul and a twist of Bakersfield twang. Noted journalist and A&R man Bill Bentley says “The drums and bass blast away with a beefy finesse while Eric Hisaw sings his heart out and plays guitar like he was born with one in his hands”.
