Singer/Songwriter Stephan LaCasse has seen it all after years of performing, writing, and touring. He's played to large festival crowds, intimate listening rooms, and explored every nook and cranny of venues in and around his former-longtime home of Toronto. But in 2022 he sought out a change of scene for inspiration, new challenges, and a pace of life a bit less frantic than city life allows. Following his heart, he found himself settling in nicely along the Sunshine Coast a ferry ride away from Vancouver.

LaCasse's summertime relocation was followed by the Fall '22 production of his acoustic album Whiskey Creek Surf Shop Blues, released on January 1, 2023. Stephan is already eagerly at work on writing and recording music for his next album.

Now living a small town lifestyle, LaCasse has explored the artist community and music scene and fallen in love with it all. Leisurely jam sessions and quaint friendly venues abound. There's a delightful, communal adventure in most gigs; a pleasant shift away from higher-pressure, more logistically intensive full-band shows in the past. His focus nowadays is his solo acoustic performances; he's soaking in the direct connection with audiences, venues, and promoters. In addition to staying busy performing regularly around the area, he's dived headlong into video production. For the time being, Stephan is relishing this moment in life--a period of writing, multiple creative outlets, and a seemingly unlimited number of performing opportunities.
