Writers JT Butler and Commodore Primous III are proud to announce the world premiere of their musical, PRIDE. The premiere will consist of a trio of performances in Marietta, Georgia at The Jennie T. Anderson Theatre located at 548 S. Marietta Pkwy SE. Showtimes are Friday, June 16 at 8:00PM (6/17, 8PM ticket link) and Saturday, June 17 with showings at both 1:00PM (6/17, 1PM ticket link) and 6:00PM (6/17, 6PM ticket link).  Ticket price is $30 for all shows.

"PRIDE is the story of a Black American Family in the 21st Century seeking their place in the world...a world that does not want to accept them. A young boy, harassed by his peers. A young woman seeking a star-crossed love. A young man inspired to take action. And their parents, striving to maintain a sense of unity throughout it all."

PRIDE has been performed before but only as public readings: an Atlanta reading on January 8, 2022 at the Atlanta Lyric Studio Theatre and another on March 10, 2022 at Open Jar Studios in New York City. The string of Marietta performances will be the first with full stage and musical production.
