At The Zoo-oo-oo (Single)

by Stacy Gabel

Track listing: At The Zoo-oo-oo

"At the Zoo-oo-oo" is delightful and just as cute as can be. In the tradition of artists who've traversed across their primary genre into the playful world of Children's Music, Stacy Gabel has offered her own single "At the Zoo-oo-oo," set for release on September 1, 2023. The Lehigh Valley product has established herself through her songwriting and performing, touring the East Coast and gigging in Nashville, L.A., and Florida. But with "At the Zoo-oo-oo" she dips her toes into the kiddie pool similarly to Children's Music crossovers They Might Be Giants, Trout Fishing in America, and once lead singer of Del Fuegos, Dan Zane.

The song takes us on a tour of the zoo--from the giraffe habitat to a log-hopping frog and onto Roo the kangaroo and a tuxedo-donning penguin. Structurally, the arrangement is a bit of a rock-a-billy shuffle with a simple, catchy melody and a hook sure to please a young crowd. And you've got the requisite key change toward the end, building anticipation to the song's flourish finish.

Touring behind the release of "At the Zoo-oo-oo" is not yet in the cards but on the heels of 2023's release of her EP Straight to Voicemail, Stacy will be on the road on her Great Escape Tour of 2023. Stay in touch with Stacy, her new releases, and updated tour dates at stacygabel.com.
