Undone is the latest release from Portland, Oregon multi-instrumentalist Ryan Van Dordrecht, due out in January 2024. The album's vibe is seriously rooted in 70s era pop rock; you can feel the green shag carpet under your feet, a sound of psychedelic colors and wood-paneled walls.

"Human Nature" is the record's first single--a mid-tempo bop with lead guitar sprinkled throughout and tight harmonies reminiscent of later-era Fleetwood Mac. As much classic-AOR feel as it has, Van Dordrecht brings to the mix his own "modern vintage aesthetic" found across much of current Indie music scene. Undone's songs are mature, thought-provoking, introspective, a sound that gives you pause allowing an appreciation of the stellar cast of musicians assembled to bring the collection of ten tracks to life.

His career to date helps account for his impressive look on streaming services, amassing nearly 10 million listens on Spotify alone! Having previously played with Sidestar, a pop-Americana group who toured with the likes of Cake and Death Cab, Van Dordrecht has spent years building a fan base. His emo alt-rock project Castella similarly garnered 10 million or so streams, sharing stages with the likes of Gin Blossoms.

Undone's more Americana leanings come through on tracks like "Under the Neon Glow" and "Innocence." Contrast this tone with the opening track "All In Your Mind," lending itself at times closer to the aforementioned Fleetwood side of the coin. He puts his own twist on it all, though, making Undone a record worth your time to check out.
