Chupacabra Cantina (Austin, TX)
Friday, February 26, 2010
9:00PM - 2:00AM
This is a benefit to raise money for Madame Scorpio (Dianne Whitehair) who was diagnosed with breast cancer on the night before a Halloween show last year. She played the show, had surgery the next day, fighting the treatment effects daily, spent Christmas in the hospital, and is now ready to get better so she can play onstage again. Madame Scorpio gained fame as Retarted Elf's dynamic dancer.
Her band Scorpio Rising was accepted to perform at SXSW this year, and we want her to do that! Medical bills are not cheap, but we will empty our hearts and pockets b/c that's what we do best.
The event will be sponsored and have complimentary beverages, food, and local band performances for all the amazing people that attend. Monetary donations are currently being accepted through PayPal. 100% of the proceeds sent via PayPal go directly to Madame Scorpio.
